A Decade of Public Procurement: Government e Marketplace (GeM) completed 10 years of operation on 9 August 2026 (originally launched on 9 August 2016).
Cumulative Scale: Facilitated cumulative procurement of over ₹20 lakh crore through more than 3.78 crore orders.
Acceleration Curve: While the platform took over 8 years to reach its first ₹10 lakh crore Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), the second ₹10 lakh crore milestone was achieved in under 2 years.
Net Social Savings: An IIT Delhi study estimated monetized benefits of ₹86,571 crore through price and process efficiencies, generating a total net social saving of ₹1,76,411 crore.

MSE Integration: Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) fulfilled orders worth ₹9.07 lakh crore, constituting 45.6% of the cumulative GMV on the platform.
Women & Startups: More than 2.24 lakh women-led MSEs executed orders valued at over ₹99,147 crore, while registered startups secured orders worth over ₹65,633 crore.
Network Size: Expanded to over 25.45 lakh profile-completed sellers and 1.37 lakh primary buyer organizations.

Institutional Integration: Scaling university outreach, credit-linked support, and sustainable green procurement guidelines.
